KINS CO2 Resurfacing Treatment

At KINS, we offer CO₂ fractional laser resurfacing as a non-invasive aesthetic procedure aimed at enhancing the overall appearance of the skin.
This treatment is designed to deliver precise laser energy to the skin’s surface, supporting gradual refinement of texture and tone.
It is commonly used in aesthetic settings to improve the appearance of acne-related surface irregularities, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone—making it a popular option for those seeking smoother, more balanced-looking skin.
The procedure is generally well-tolerated and involves minimal downtime, allowing most individuals to return to their daily activities shortly after treatment.
Our post-treatment care is focused on supporting the skin’s natural recovery process with gentle cleansing and moisturising to help maintain comfort and balance.

What is CO2 Fractional Laser?

CO2 fractional laser is an advanced skin resurfacing technology used in aesthetic clinics. It delivers focused beams of light to targeted areas of the skin to support the refinement of texture and appearance. Commonly used for cosmetic concerns such as post-acne marks and uneven skin surface, this non-invasive treatment typically involves minimal downtime. Sensations during the procedure can vary depending on individual skin sensitivity.

How does it work?

The fractional laser works by treating only a fraction of the skin surface at a time, leaving surrounding areas untouched to help support natural recovery. This technique creates microscopic zones within the skin that may encourage surface renewal and visible texture improvement.
It is often used to improve the appearance of post-acne marks, sun-induced skin changes, pigmentation irregularities, and fine lines, contributing to a smoother, more even skin tone.
Treatment outcomes vary between individuals. For best results, a proper consultation and personalised treatment plan with a licensed doctor is recommended.

FAQ

▸ How many sessions of CO2 Laser treatment do i need?

The number of sessions recommended will depend on the severity of your acne scars and your skin’s individual response. As a general guide at KINS Clinic:

Mild acne scars: 2–3 sessions

Moderate to severe acne scars: Typically 4–6 sessions or more

Some patients may see gradual improvements after the first few sessions, while others may require a longer course. A medical consultation is necessary to assess your skin and determine a personalised plan tailored to your goals.

▸ How long does a fractional co2 laser session take?

A typical fractional CO₂ laser treatment takes about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area and your skin’s condition.

For first-time patients, please note that your visit will also include a medical consultation (approximately 30 minutes), where our doctor will assess your skin and discuss your concerns.

Before the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort. This requires about 15 minutes to take full effect before the treatment can begin.

Altogether, we recommend setting aside approximately 60 to 75 minutes for your initial visit.

▸ Is there any downtime for co2 laser treatment?

There is typically a downtime of around 4 to 6 days following the treatment. During this period, you may experience temporary redness, dryness, and flaking as part of the skin's natural recovery process. These effects are normal and vary from person to person.

Our medical team will provide detailed aftercare instructions to help support your skin during this period.

▸ What is the aftercare for co2 laser treatment?

Proper aftercare is important to support your skin’s natural recovery following CO₂ laser treatment. You may be advised to follow these general guidelines:

Keep the treated area clean using a gentle, non-irritating cleanser

Moisturise regularly with products recommended by your doctor to maintain hydration

Avoid direct sun exposure, and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily

Refrain from picking or scratching the treated skin to prevent irritation

Minimise use of makeup until the skin has visibly calmed

Stay hydrated and avoid excessive sweating (e.g., saunas, intense workouts) for a few days

Your doctor will provide personalised aftercare instructions based on your skin type and the extent of the procedure. Following these steps can help optimise your comfort and the aesthetic results.

▸ When will I be able to see results with a Fractional CO2 Laser?

Some individuals may start to notice visible improvements within a few days to a week following a session, such as a smoother skin texture or more even tone. However, the skin's recovery process continues gradually, and further changes may develop over several weeks as the skin renews itself.

For those with mild acne scarring, a series of three sessions is commonly recommended. For more pronounced concerns, up to six or more sessions may be advised. Sessions are typically spaced about a month apart to allow the skin time to recover and respond.

As with all aesthetic procedures, results vary from person to person. Following the post-treatment care plan provided by your doctor plays an important role in supporting visible improvements and maintaining healthy-looking skin.
